College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has four departments as follows: Department of Design Engineering; Department of Mechanical Manufacture and Automation; Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Department of Aerospace Manufacture and Engineering. Department of Mechanical Manufacture and Automation is a national key speciality that covers four programs for doctoral degree and four programs for master degree and two post-doctoral exchange centers as listed below. The college has established several advanced experiment and research centers such as Jiangsu Teaching and Experiment Center of Mechanics and Engineering, Jiangsu Digital Design and Engineering Research Center, Special Processing Center, and two Ministerial Open labs(CAD/CAM). It also has some other research institutes and labs. It admits 600 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students every year.

Programs for Bachelor Degree
1. Machine Design and Manufacturing and Automation: It tries to train advanced
engineering and technical talents to design and manufacture machines, to do scientific research, to develop new products and to do business and management in the fields of mechanical engineering and automation.
2. Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering: It aims at training advanced engineering and
technical talents to manufacture aircraft, to do scientific research, to develop new products and to do business and management in the fields of aircraft manufacture engineering.
3. Industrial Design and Theory: It tries to train advanced engineering and technical
talents to design and manufacture mechanical and electrical products, to do scientific research, to develop new products and to do business and management in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering.
