College of Humanities and Social Sciences
College of Humanities and
Social Sciences has four departments: Department of Law and Political
Science; Department of Economics; Department of English (for English
majors and graduate and Ph.D students of science); Department of College
English (for undergraduate science students). Besides, there are three
research institutes: Institute of Regional Economy; Institute of Finance
and Capital Market; Institute of Legal Affairs. There are four centers:
Center of Science, Technology and Economic Legal System; Center of
Comparative Study of the Chinese and Western Languages and Cultures;
Foreign Languages Training Center and Self-taught Examination Center.
The total number of students reaches 1000.
Programs for Bachelor Degree
1. Finance and Banking: It aims at training professional talents
with a solid foundation of economics, with the abilities to work
in the investment institution of real estate and finance and also
in governmental investment management organizations.
2. Law: It tries to train advanced legal talents who will meet the
country's needs of socialist legal system, who will be able to work
in the country's legislative bodies, judicial organs, intermediary
organs and work with legal cases in enterprises and governmental
institutions and who will do teaching and theoretical research in
universities and schools.
3. English (International Trade and Business): It aims at training
professional and managerial talents with good qualifications who
are highly communicative in English, conversant with economics,
trade and finance, and who are good at both translation and interpretation
in the transactions of international trade..
4. English (Civil Aviation Business): It aims at training professional
and managerial talents with good qualifications who are highly communicative
in English, conversant with civil aviation business, and who can
really do business in civil aviation.
5.Radio and Television Science: It tries to train advanced professional
talents with combined knowledge of mass medium who have better quality
in political ideology and a broader range of knowledge of culture
and science, and who are able to cover news items, edit news, host
programs and do managerial work in radio, television and other journalistic
departments.
