College of Aerospace Engineering
College of Aerospace Engineering
is a teaching and research college with multi-disciplines, excellent
academic quality and good engineering capabilities. It has four departments:
Department of Aircraft; Department of Aerodynamics; Department of
Structural Engineering and Mechanics; Department of Man-Machine and
Environment Engineering.
It also has nine institutes: Institute of
Helicopter Technology; Institute of Aeroplane and Spacecraft Technology;
Institute of Aircraft Environment Control and Life Protection Engineering;
Institute of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technology; Institute
of Vibration Engineering; Institute of Structural and Intensity Control;
Institute of Smart Materials and Structural Study; Institute of Aerodynamics;
Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
In addition, it has three research centers:
Mini-Flight Vehicle Center; CAD Center and Supersonic Electrical Machinery
Research Center. There is also an Aerospace Technology Exhibition
Hall.
College of Aerospace Engineering has many
important laboratories such as Helicopter Rotor Dynamics Lab (national
key laboratory), Smart Material and Structure Lab ( ministerial key
laboratory ), Vibration Engineering Lab ( ministerial open laboratory
), Aerodynamics Lab ( ministerial open laboratory ), Mechanics Teaching
and Experiment Center at provincial level.
Among all the specialties in the college,
Flight Vehicle Design is a national key speciality. Engineering Mechanics
is a Provincial key speciality. There are also several key academic
societies at different levels: Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering;
Chinese Aeronautic Society for Helicopter Speciality; Jiangsu Aeronautic
and Astronautics Society for Flight Vehicle; Aerodynamic and Flight
Mechanic Society and NAI-CHP Vibration Counseling and Training Center.
Programs for Bachelor Degree
1. Flight Vehicle Design and Engineering ( including aircraft design,
helicopter design and aerodynamics design ): It aims at training advanced
engineering and technical talents with the basic knowledge in aeronautic
and astronautic aircraft design, in aerodynamics design and in aeronautic
and astronautic engineering management.
2. Flight Vehicle Environment and Life Protection System: It tries
to train advanced engineering and technical talents with the basic
knowledge in flight vehicle environment and life protection, in refrigeration
and air-conditioning technology.
3. Building Environment and Equipment Engineering:
4. Civil Engineering: It aims at training advanced engineering and
technical talents who will have the basic theories and knowledge in
engineering mechanics, rock and clay mechanics and municipal engineering,
who will have the capabilities to plan and to design civil engineering
projects, to do research in and carry out construction of civil engineering
projects , who will have the technical and managerial skills in house
building and underground construction, in the construction of tunnels,
roads, bridges and mines, and who can also work in the departments
of designing, education, management, investment and development.
